Get Money For College - FAFSA Completion Event February 1st, 4:00-7:00pm

Updated: Jan 4

NOTICE – This event was moved from January 11th to February 1st due to the limited access to the FAFSA form in January.

COTTONWOOD SENIORS & PARENTS/GUARDIANS

COTTONWOOD SENIORS & PARENTS/GUARDIANS We are hosting an event for students and parents/guardians on how to pay for college in the CHS Library. You will get expert help with filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). We will also provide information and assistance regarding scholarships and answer questions.

Additionally, in a private and supportive environment, we will discuss alternative resources to pay for college tailored for DACA and undocumented students.

All participating seniors and their parents/guardians will enjoy a complimentary meal from a local taco truck.

The FAFSA opens doors to grant money (that you don't have to pay back), scholarships, work-study, and loans. The FAFSA is the first step toward realizing college dreams (technical college, two-year and four-year).

Students and parents must sign up for a FAFSA account three business days before the event to receive their assigned PIN, a required component to start the application. To begin your FAFSA sign-up, go to the Account creation page.

You and your student’s attendance at this event could be the key to unlocking numerous opportunities for your child's educational journey. We look forward to seeing you there!
