I just wanted to give you some important updates for scholarship deadlines as well as
additional info from SLCCs Office of Admissions.
🐻 SLCC Scholarship Application | Deadline: March 1, 2021
• Students if you are planning on attending SLCC, their incoming freshmen scholarship deadline is March 1, 2021.
• Go to https://slcc.awardspring.com/ and fill out the general application.
• RSVP for SLCC Days so you can get priority class registration and complete mandatory orientation before you graduate! For in-person/hybrid learners rsvp at this link shorturl.at/ekD68 for distance learners rsvp at this link shorturl.at/kwKS9.
• Students if you still want to apply to SLCC we have vouchers available to help with the cost of the application message me via canvas if you're interested or come to the Counseling Center.
🐃 Dixie State University Scholarship Acceptance | Deadline: March 1, 2021
• Make sure to turn in all your materials for merit-based scholarships.
🦅 Southern Utah University Scholarship Acceptance | Deadline: March 1, 2021
• Make sure to accept your SUU scholarships if you're planning to attend.
🐺 Utah Valley University Scholarship Application | Deadline: March 1, 2021
• Make sure to fill out the UVU scholarship application if you plan on attending.
💡 Students, it's very important to read emails/letters from the college you intend to enroll. Make sure to thoroughly read admittance letters/packets and set up your student account and college email. Colleges will start to communicate to you via your college email and send important info about your financial aid package, additional needed documents, orientation, etc. Every college is different but a majority will need you to set up your student account and email so they can securely send you updates.

• Explore SLCC virtual workshop | Tuesday, March 2, 2021 (5:00 PM - 6:30 PM)
This is an annual admissions event for the community and prospective students to learn about academic programs, meet faculty, and explore opportunities at Salt Lake Community College. To rsvp go to tinyurl.com/exploreslcc. I’ve also attached a flyer with the event info.
• SelectHealth Latinx Scholarship | Deadline: March 15, 2021
The SelectHealth Scholarship is a two-year full scholarship for freshman Hispanic and Latinx students at SLCC who are interested in a career in healthcare. SelectHealth also invests in student's personal and professional growth. Students who earn this scholarship will have the opportunity to participate in important mentoring activities throughout the year, will be offered a paid summer internship, and students will also be offered full-time employment at SelectHealth upon graduation (contingent upon meeting HR requirements).

Distance Learners - I know this year has been really tough and you are almost at the finish line. Please feel free to reach out to me if you still need help with college applications, FAFSA, scholarship info, resources for undocumented students, or college exploration. While deadlines can be overwhelming, it's still not too late to apply to some colleges. If you would like to explore alternative routes/timelines or take a gap year and go back to school when you are able to that's okay! Not everyone's path is linear and that is OKAY!😊
