Scholarships you should apply to during the break - not just for Seniors!!




As you are getting ready to relax and enjoy your break, please take some time to look over these scholarships you can work on. This is not an extensive list of all scholarships, so make sure to visit coltscounseling.com/scholarships if you would like to view more scholarship opportunities. Some of these scholarships will require letters of recommendation, so always have two people in mind that could write you a letter.

Youthlink Young Humanitarian Award | Deadline: March 1, 2021

☆ One high school student and one college student will each receive a $3,000 college scholarship. Three high school students and three college students will each receive a $1,000 college scholarship for a total of $22,000 in scholarship awards to students who are working to make a difference wherever and however they can.

DAVIDSON FELLOWS SCHOLARSHIP | March 10, 2021

• For extraordinary young people, 18 and under, who have completed

a significant piece of work. Application categories are Engineering,

Mathematics, Science, Literature, Music, Technology, Philosophy, and thinking Outside the Box.

Deborah S. Bayle Scholarship | March 12, 2021

☆ This scholarship is open to high school seniors at Cottonwood High School, Hillcrest High School, Kearns High School, or Salt Lake Center for Science Education. Since the scholarship is intended for certain schools your chances of getting it are high!!! This is a needs-based scholarship that will be distributed over four years. The amount given to recipients will vary depending on financial need.

ACLU Utah Youth Activist Scholarship | March 22, 2021

2021 will be the 14th year that the ACLU of Utah will award scholarships to eligible college-bound Utah high school seniors who have demonstrated a strong commitment to civil liberties through some form of activism.

The BYU Management Society | Deadline: April 11, 2021

The BYU Management Society – Salt Lake City Chapter will be awarding several scholarships in 2021 to high school seniors who demonstrate financial need, academic excellence, leadership, and positive community or religious service. Scholarship amounts will generally range from $1000 to $3,000 depending on need and merit.

*You don't need to go to BYU or be part of the LDS church to apply!

Utah Energy Workforce Scholarship | Deadline: April 15, 2021

☆The Governor’s Office of Energy Development is proud to partner with Chevron Corporation to award the Utah Energy Workforce Scholarship — helping students pursue energy and minerals careers through STEM degrees or licensed certificates from Utah universities or technical colleges.
