A message to parents & guardians from your counselors at Cottonwood High

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of the Cottonwood Counseling Center, I wanted to update you on how we’re operating under the current conditions and let you know what you can expect from us in the coming days and weeks. First, counselors are working in the physical school building with teachers and administrators though we are not available for in-person meetings with students or parents/guardians. We are all accessible by email – you can access our individual emails here: https://www.coltscounseling.com/

We are working closely with administration and District supervisors to make decisions and prepare for all of the following: the upcoming Junior ACT, AP testing, end of year Senior specific activities and graduation. As of now, we don’t have concrete plans or new information to provide though we promise to be timely and up to date in our communication as information is provided us. We remind you that as the quarter draws to an end, please contact teachers directly regarding student grades and assignments. We have no purview over academics and defer to policies the teachers and administrators have put in place. In the coming days, we will have updates on important issues such as credit recovery - specifically for seniors. Lastly, please remind all students to continue working on their online classes for which they’re enrolled. Information about proctored tests and accessibility will be coming; until then, the individual teachers of those classes are your best resource for information.
